Combining archive documents and original pictures depicting the traces that history leaves on different territories, while repeating live a series of previously recorded gestures, the artist questions the capacity of the image to testify such transformations, not as much for what it shows as for what it conceals or dissimulates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viewers watch two video projections, each of which presents a series of gestures executed by my hands as they reveal, draw and manipulate images, photographs and various objects over a light box. One of the projections is a pre-recorded video, while the other reproduces live those same gestures memorised and repeated at the site where the performance takes place. The gestures of the two projections are synchronised, but over time, some details are altered, differences appear, gaps open up.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
